Now that “Rental Style” has been released, I am so happy to share the rest of our kitchen renovation: the dining nook! I wanted to create a comfy corner in our home, perfect for working, eating, or just having a cup of coffee.
I had seen some DIY for wall molding and had been dying to use it in our home, and this became the perfect place! It creates a focal point within the room, while not being too overwhelming for the small space. I will be blogging a “How To” on installing these panels in a few weeks!
I also knew I had to incorporate some form of storage for miscellaneous kitchen items so I went with a tufted bench capable of hiding some of these pieces. Paired with boho and glam prints on the pillows, the bench is ready for anyone to relax or lounge in – including our pup Bodhi! This is one of his favorite spots in our house now:
The acrylic chairs are another important element of this space. They allow for extra seating but are not visually heavy, helping our little space look bigger than it actually is. We did end up keeping the telephone jack in the wall, so I added a cute black vintage phone. I love how it ties in the vase on the table!
We couldn’t be happier with how this space turned out. Now, on to the next room! Over the last few months we have been renovating our main floor bath. It’s finally complete! Just needs some finishing touches. Can’t wait to share with you all!
Don’t forget to see our home in print!
